“The Best Always Succeed”
I was listening to the Diary of a CEO podcast recently and I heard this statement, the best always succeed. Spoken by Sir Richard Branson, it inspired me and got me thinking.
As another year draws to a close, we are finally approaching the Christmas break.
A chance to rest, relax and enjoy the festivities. Sometimes I feel like I am on a rollercoaster, chasing my tail. Frantically spinning multiple plates in the air.
This year at least, we have returned to some kind of normality. No more lockdowns, consistent work and a steady increase in opportunities and revenue. I feel like it’s now time to take a breath and draw on the experience of the past year.
How did you do this year?
An important question that we often overlook. What were the highlights? What were the challenges? It’s important to look back at the things that went well along with the areas that need improving. It’s often surprising to realise how much you have achieved in a 12-month period.
Get some feedback
We are often so busy completing tasks and meeting deadlines, we overlook our client experience. How was our service? What do clients like about working with us? I recently took the time to ask for some feedback and was uplifted by the positive comments that dropped into my inbox. Some clients even took the time to share their experiences on our Google page. Not just raising my spirits but showcasing their positive engagement with our company.
Recognise your progress
Think about how you have improved over the course of the last 12 months. Running a business can be tough, overwhelming and full of highs and lows. I am sure some occasions, have felt relentless, but you overcame challenges. For some of us, maybe those challenges, are still ongoing. But you made it to the end of the year and you are still here. With determination and faith, you can achieve great things.
Enjoy some well-deserved downtime
For our team, Christmas is the one occasion when our industry shuts down and we can truly let go. We all need a break, a chance to switch off, reset and recharge. Make sure you take some time out this season to do something you love. Whether it’s taking a walk in the afternoon sunshine, or reading a book on the sofa, rest is good for the soul.
It’s been a fantastic year for Team Capture. We have worked with some amazing people and delivered some fantastic projects. Thank you to all those who have entrusted their marketing to us. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas holiday and much health, happiness and success for the year ahead. We’ll be back on 3rd January, recharged and ready to hit the ground running….
